New Meizu 17 & 17 Pro Imminent Release
- Emerging phone brand Meizu launch their latest flagship handsets, the new Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro. Its a handset that rivals the iPhone 11 in terms of specs and the price is unbelievable.
Meizu 17
Meizu started life as a technology company focusing on manufacturing MP3 and MP 4 players. Meizu started manufacturing phones in 2008 but have remained an unknown brand until now. Their latest handsets rival Apple, Samsung, Huawei and other leading mobile phone manufacturers and they compete well on cost too.
Meizu 17 & 17 Pro Release Date
Meizu have not confirmed a release date as such. The rumour is the handset will be available for purchase on May 11th 2020. The announcment was leaked to GSMARENA on the 8th may 2020.
The Display
The Meizu 17 comes with a super AMOLED display using 16 million colours. The screen is 6.6 inches with 1080 x 2340 pixels and a ratio of 19.5:9. It also bosts HDR10+ which makes it a perfect handset for mobile games and movie watchers.
Platform & Memory
It will run on Andoird 10 and Flyme 8.1. Using Qualcomm's SM8250 Snapdragon 865 processor which means it will run fast and smooth. There's a choice of two handsets, 128GB with 8GB RAM or 256GB with 8GB RAM.
Camera Setup
The camera setup does not dissapoint. The front facing camera is a quad lense setup with a 64, 12, 8 and 5 megapixel ultrawide lense. It has a 5-LED dual tone flash and uses Auto-HDR. The selfie camera is a 20 megapxiel setup with HDR video.
Features & Battery
It comes with the now standard fingerprint sensor to unlock the device. The battery is 4500 mAH which means it will last for a long time. It will charge to 45% in 30 minutes using its 30W fast charging capability.
The new Meizu 17 and 17 Pro comes win Green, Gray and Aurora White.
Meizu 17 Price
The price in Europe is expected to be €530 with the UK handset costing around £465.
