Oppo’s new Oppo Ace 2 5G will have 90Hz Display

Oppo are due to release their latest device on April 13th. Their latest handset is called the Oppo Ace 2 5G. So that means no more Reno’s coming our way as the Ace series is expected to be the new moniker for Oppo.

The Oppo Ace 2 5G is perfect for mobile gaming. Boasting a 90Hz refresh rate with a 180Hz touch sampling rate. The new mobile gaming king of phones also has 4D internal cooling and 4D vibration.

This brings a new angle to the phone market with most manufacturers focusing on improving camera specifications and megapixels.

The Oppo Ace 2 5G will run on the Snapdragon 865 chip with a 5G modem.

The battery is also breaking the market too. Featuring a 65W fast charging battery and 40W wireless fast charging.

The price is keen for the market to. £499.99 is the expected cost for the UK.

Usually we would compare these devices to other leading manufacturers like Apple and Samsung but this device compares to other gaming phones like the ROG Phone II, Nubia Red Magic 5G and the Black Shark 3.

The specifications compare well with leading handsets.


There will be three models;

  • 128GB with 8GB Ram
  • 256GB with 8GB Ram
  • 256GB with 12GB Ram

The camera is also competitive with a 48 megapixel front camera and a 16 megapixel selfie camera.

The battery is perfect for a gamer on the move. It’s advertised by Oppo that the Ace 2 5G will charge from zero to 100% in 30 minutes.

The display also beats other recently released handsets on the display front. It comes with a 6.5 inch AMOLED display with 16 million colours. The display resolution is also top of the range with 1080 x 2400 pixels with 20:9 ratio and 405 PPI.
