Samsung Galaxy A21s – A Cheap Mobile Phone with a 48MP Camera
- Samsung will soon bring a new smartphone for the lower middle class, with a new processor and a high-resolution camera at an affordable price. We now have almost all the details and specifications to share with our readers.
Samsung Galaxy A21s
The Samsung Galaxy A21s is the youngest competitor in a highly competitive market at the lower end of the price range. Prices starting at around £160, the A21s is expected to usher in a new generation of affordable smartphones from Samsung. Using the Samsung Exynos 850 Octacore SoC chipset makes it a powerful device.
Samsung have been focusing on lower to middle class handsets to compete with competitive brands live Xiaomi, Realme and Honor.
So far, only a few details are known about the new chip, but we can confirm that it is an eight-core SoC with a maximum clock rate of 2.0 gigahertz. In the Galaxy A21s, the new processor is always combined with three gigabytes of RAM and 32 or 64 GB of internal flash memory with the option of an expansion using a microSD card slot. This is not lot of internal memory but for the price it’s a very fair deal.
A 6.5-inch Display
The Galaxy A21s has a very large 6.5-inch diagonal display that offers a stretched HD + resolution with 1600 x 720 pixels. It is a PLS TFT panel from Samsung's development team which ensures extremely low viewing angle dependency, high brightness and comparatively accurate colour rendering.
Samsung Galaxy A21s Camera Specs
The screen has a hole in the top left which holds the front camera, with a 13-megapixel selfie camera.
There four cameras in the back of the Galaxy A21s, with the main camera using a 48-megapixel sensor.
In addition, there is also an ultra-wide-angle camera with another 8-megapixel resolution and f / 2.0 aperture. According to the data sheet available to us, the performance of the new Exynos 850 is sufficient to record 1080p videos with the front or rear camera.
There are also other welcome features such as a headphone jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and NFC. There is no 5G support, so you can only use 4G Lte.
Other Specifications
The Galaxy A21s is 8.9 millimetres thick and weighs 191 grams. The weight is relatively small despite the size, which should be due to the plastic used as the housing material. The 5000 mAh battery contributes to this, which can be charged via the USB type connection. The Samsung Galaxy A21s smartphone runs on Android 10.
The Samsung Galaxy A21s is expected to be commercially available towards the end of May and will then start in the 32 GB version for £159 or £199 for the 64GB variation. The colour choices are black, white and blue.
